Lunch Bunch Selection Diary of a Wimpy Kid
The pressure’s really piling up on Greg Heffley. The only thing he’s good at is playing video games, but his mother wants him to broaden his horizons by doing something—anything!—else.
When Greg finds an old video camera in his basement, he thinks he may have discovered just the thing to prove he’s got big-time talent. With the help of his best friend, Rowley, Greg hatches a plan to make a scary movie . . . and to become rich and famous in the process.
But is doubling down on moviemaking a smart plan? Or is it just a recipe for doubling Greg’s troubles?Copies are available in the book fair. Every November we look forward to the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. This year's book is Double Down.

Saddle Up a place where our kids can help and serve….
Saddle Up! is a year-round program that serves nearly 180 children/youth with disabilities of all kinds. It is the oldest and largest program of its kind in the region, and the only one exclusively serving children and youth who have disabilities. They are accredited by PATH An International, the organization that sets the standards for safety and quality in equine assisted programs.
Children will be introduced to the program using a book narrated by Hershey the Horse (one of the therapy animals). You will hear more about this from your students as we approach the time when we begin this project.
The Nature Academy @ Westmeade Expands
The heart of Westmeade is the magnificent setting of woodlands around our campus and the opportunity to learn from it. Warner Parks Nature Center has been our partner in this and provides great experiences to expand your students' ability to observe, process and be curious about the world around them.
We are expanding our Young Naturalists Academy as students in 3rd & 4th grade are added to the program. Under the leadership of the center's trained naturalists our children learn about the natural world around them in the seasons bring changes to the plants, animals and land..
These trips are called journeys and students practice "sauntering" and being Quiet Coyotes so that they can observe all the beauty of nature.
