A native Mississippian, Ms. Foster moved to Nashville to attend David Lipscomb University. After graduation, she taught first grade in Houston, Texas. She then returned to Nashville where she spent time teaching pre-kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in the private sector.  In 1999, Ms. Foster began teaching in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. She taught first and second grade at Chadwell Elementary and Kirkpatrick Elementary and transferred to Westmeade Elementary in 2007 where she has taught first, second and third grades.

Ms. Foster loves her day job and knows she made the perfect career choice! Outside of the classroom, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, the beach, her friends and her family. She collects sea shells from her beach trips and antique silver pieces. Ms. Foster volunteers with The Junior League of Nashville, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and teaches Sunday School at her church. She serves on boards of The Junior League of Nashville and Westmeade PTA. She has one niece whom she enjoys spoiling.

Ms. Foster exemplifies her favorite quote, "To whom much is given, much is expected."  in her many civic and church activities.
