Young Naturalists@Westmeade

Picture
The experience of nature helps students develop critical thinking skills, and often provides a means for self expression.  The staff at Warner Park Nature Center are gifted leaders and give our children a truly unique experience.  At Westmeade we continue to introduce and support the program of sustainable living.

Students also spend time learning about the wild areas that surround our campus in the various seasons.  .

As we move toward becoming an Environmental/Sustainable Magnet, you can explore what this might mean at several sites.  Check out the sites
Westmeade in partnership with Warner Parks works to insure that students become young naturalists.  Each grade level travels to Warner Park where the gifted people in the nature center guide their experiences.

Children spend time practicing being quiet and observant.   They record their observations and thoughts
