Lunch Bunch Selection Diary of a Wimpy Kid
When Greg finds an old video camera in his basement, he thinks he may have discovered just the thing to prove he’s got big-time talent. With the help of his best friend, Rowley, Greg hatches a plan to make a scary movie . . . and to become rich and famous in the process.
But is doubling down on moviemaking a smart plan? Or is it just a recipe for doubling Greg’s troubles?Copies are available in the book fair. Every November we look forward to the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. This year's book is Double Down.
Pizza with the Principal
156 students shared Pizza with the Principal after memorizing the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Another Westmeade tradition, it was great to see the impact as some of our former students, now in high school stopped by for a visit at Dragon Fest. They were reminiscing about elementary school and shared that this was one of their favorite memories. They then spontaneously burst into a recitation of the piece. Those words will remain in every Westmeade Student's heart and will inform their understanding of our constitutional republic throughout life.
NPL Puppet Truck Visits!
Mark Twain was an honored guest as puppeteers presented "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calavares County"
This delightful celebration came at just the right time with both 2nd and 3rd grades completing units on folktales and storytelling.
On Nov. 7th the Puppet Truck Presented Aesops fables to 2nd and 3rd Graders who were completing their study of foktales.
Saddle Up a place where our kids can help and serve….

The Nature Academy @ Westmeade Expands
We are expanding our Young Naturalists Academy as students in 3rd & 4th grade are added to the program. Under the leadership of the center's trained naturalists our children learn about the natural world around them in the seasons bring changes to the plants, animals and land..
These trips are called journeys and students practice "sauntering" and being Quiet Coyotes so that they can observe all the beauty of nature.
