- Discovery School is a site that has many features worth exploring. It has lesson plans, but it even allows you to create tests like this one I created for a beginning library lesson. You must become a member (it's free). Once you are a member you can create puzzles, quizzes, lesson plans and many other features may be useful as well!

What is Media Literacy? Media literacy is basically being aware when someone is selling you a bill of goods! We learned this using advertising and newspapers/T.V. ads when we were growing up. Such messages are more insidious on the web.

Council of Teachers of English has a lesson FABULOUS lesson plan bank.

Planet is a Dept. of Education
Website designed to encourage students to read. The Writer's Block
section allows students to add to a story during a month long
collaborative effort and read it at the end of the month!

R Kids Math is a site just for
pre-K through 3rd grade. It has wonderful printable things, as well
as interactive activities for students.

and science sites each month. This is a huge site which incluedes
opportunities for professional development.
