Now
you are ready for the third basic skill..
3. Scrolling - Moving
up and down or side-to-side within a web page or other computer
window. First find the "elevator" shaft at the right side of your screen or at the very bottom. You can scroll using this shaft in four
ways:
- To move one
line at a time, use the up or down arrow. (after you click to activate the window)
- To move one page at a time click in the elevator shaft just above or below
the
arrow.
- To move quickly up or down or side-to-side you click on the arrow
at the top or bottom of the shaft and hold down your left mouse button. The page begins to move!
- To move anywhere
within the document, point to
the elevator itself. Press and hold down the left mouse button.
Now you can slide the elevator up or down by sliding the mouse on
the mouse pad. Release the button when you want to
stop.
Try all of these four ways to scroll around a page. Very
Good!
